ABOUT FLIPANY
Florida Introduces Physical Activity and Nutrition
to Youth (FLIPANY), was established in 2005 as a
501 c (3) non-profit corporation in Florida by
Lynne Kunins and Krista Casazza, Ph.D. FLIPANY’s
mission is to provide affordable physical activity
and nutrition to low income youth and their
families in South Florida.
FLIPANY’s program, “Eat Right. Get Moving.
Repeat!” and Operation Frontline® cooking classes
have served over 2,500 youth and their families and include activities that reinforce daily exercise, reading, math, and science skills and teach hands-on meal preparation, basic nutrition, food safety, menu planning, food budgeting, and healthy snacking, for parents and children. FLIPANY began operations in Broward County, Florida, and in the short four years of operations has expanded to serve all of South Florida, with a Strategic Plan goal to serve all of Florida by 2015.

Provide physical activity and nutrition program in a safe environment where youth, adolescent and adult participants learn about the importance of their health and how to make healthy lifestyle choices.
